Diy : Record Case Wall Art : Rainbows on my Mind

I had some record sleeves laying around and I needed to decorate my wall so this is what I came up with. You can make your look however you want.. so these are more like guidelines than directions!

Here is what you will need:

  1. Record sleeve - the inside paper-ish part of the cardboard record case
  2. loose leaf or white paper.
  3. scisors
  4. markers (sharpies!!)
  5. tape

First I cut out a heart from the record sleeve and traced it onto a piece of loose leaf.
I wrote out rainbows on my mind in bubble letters.
Then, I coloured the lines of the loose leaf in all random.

Then I took a silver sharpie and traces around the letters. Silver sharpie will write over any other colour so it's a good choice for outlining the letters.
Then I tapped the loose leaf to the record sleeve, lining up the hearts.
Then ya just tape it to your wall! Voila! Presto!
So it is pretty easy and you can really make any shape or colour you want. It also depends on what your record sleeve looks. Mine looks pretty colourfull on my wall so I like it!

Let me know what you come up with!
