DIY X 3 : Record Case Hair pin, Earrings & Magnet !

Here are three projects you can do with a recycled record case! Earrings, a magnet and a hair clip. Here is how you do it!

This is what you will need for all three projects, if you aren't doing all three then you won't need it all! Put you really need at least scissors, a record case and super glue to do at least one. And then you can choose between magnets, earrings and bobby pins for your project!

First we will do the hair pin:
Cut out three different size circles. I dew mine with silver sharpie first because I thought it looked cool, and I love silver sharpie.
Glue the circles together from biggest to smallest. I thought it was cool to get different parts of the record so I have a face and some words on mine.
ps. careful not to glue your fingers together, I do it all the time and it is very unpleasant.
Grab your bobby pin and glue your circles to it.
Ta Da ! Brand spanken new hair pin!
And the good news is you can make a ton of them out of one record!

Next project: Earrings:
First, cut out some wicked awesome shapes from your record. I did a square and a half a circle on mine. Glue them together.
Take a hole punch and put one hole in each. Then attach the earring with some wire, or you can use the loop at the bottom of the earring and pull it apart and put it back together once you have it in the hole!
There you go!

Last Project: A magnet!

This is super super easy. Just cut out some wicked shapes, glue em together and then add a couple of strips of magnet on the back!
And there you have it ! A new magnet :)
Hope you have a good time trying this out! I think it's an awesome project because you can always find cheap records, and you can do a ton of things out of just one!

Make sure you hold onto the actual vinyl that came with that cover, because I have another DIY coming up soon that will be using it!

Have a lovely weekend!
see you on Monday!

  4. The earrings are totally cool. Mixing music and fashion could be dangerous... might end up spending twice the amount at the second hand record store now! =)
