Debbydoesewing Etsy Shop

My lovely grandmother has started a new Etsy site selling some of the things she has been making. She does a lot sewing (might be where I get it from) and has recently started making these cute little flower pins! She called her shop debbydoesewing, which I think is quite clever! You should hop right over and take a look!
Here are some of her items:
These are little pins that you can attach to almost anything: Headbands, purses, jackets etc.
Isn't this bag adorable! Check out all of here items here.

  1. Mint 90s Print Dress
  2. Time laps camera
  3. Walking Dead Comic Book
  4. Scooby Doo Mug
  5. Dovet Cover

Crochet Inspired Instagrams

I thought I would share some of my fave instagram photos that I have taken of crochet items. I am super into crocheting right now (maybe because if the weather) and so I take lots of photos of it! I am really into the chevron pattern right now! I have been making lots of infinity scarves out of it that I am hoping to sell at the local farmer's market soon. The second photo is of a blanket I am working on slowly. It is pretty huge so it is taking a while.

I have been thinking about doing some crocheting tutorials soon, would anyone be interested in learning anything specific to crocheting? ldc

DIY Chalkboard Chevron Desk

Hello! So I thought I would share with you how I did my chalkboard chevron desk. I originally got the idea/inspiration from this post. I even used her tutorial in order to figure out how to do this! So now I am going to share it with you!

Supplies: Contact paper, Chalkboard paint, a ruler, a paintbrush (not an expensive one cause it might ruin it), scissors, a flat surface (my desk in this case).
Step One: Get some contact paper (I got mine at wall mart in the kitchin-ish area). I measured mine out to be a zig or a zag every five inches. There are marks on the back to tell you how far is an inch. So that means that every triangle of mine is 10 inches. Then draw the lines on the back and cut it out. Make sure you save the little triangle pieces you cut out of the zig-zag. Step Two: stick the long piece of contact paper to your desk (surface) wherever you want to paint. Then take the little triangles you cut out of that piece and line them up on top leaving the amount of space you want for your chalkboard paint to be on your desk (you can see this in the photo for step three). Step Three: Paint on your desk staying between the lines of your contact paper as much as possible. When you are done painting remove the contact paper before it starts to dry or it will peel up the dry edges. *repeat steps for however many chevron stripes you want!*

The finished product:
Ps. make sure yo check out my new sponsors on the right! ldc.

Blog Following Options

As some of you may have already heard, Google is phasing out Google Friend Connect (GFC), which means that they are getting rid of it for non-google users, and eventually google users as well. So I thought I would share with you some other ways you can follow my blog or tools you can use to get people to follow yours. Please let me know if you use any of these things, because I would love to follow you.

Bloglovin: I have been a member of Bloglovin for a while now and I really enjoy it. It is nice because they also have a Bloglovin App which allows you to keep up on your phone! I really encourage you to check it out if you haven't used it before, or switch to following my blog if you follow me via GFC.

Networked Blogs: This is something new that I have recently signed up for. I don't know that much about it, but it seems to be like GFC and Bloglovin put together which is cool. Let me know if you use this because I would love to follow you!

Twitter: Most of you already know about twitter, so I am not going to describe it to you. Just a little reminder that you can follow me over there because I tweet about all of my blog posts.

Facebook: I happen to already have a ldc designs facebook page. I don't post that much about my blog, but I do post a lot about the things I make. I have used it as a place to sell my creations for quite a while, so feel free to follow me over there.

Google+: This is the link to my Google+ page, but to be honest I have no idea how to use it. Does anyone know any good links that explain it? Or Youtube videos?
